Robert Kaufman - Vintage Blueprints on Indigo Blue
This 100% cotton fabric features blueprints for airplanes and plane parts, including drums and floors, against a deep, rich indigo blue background. The subject matter, attention to detail and beautiful richness of this material all combine into an absolutely gorgeous fabric. The fabric is a quilting weight printed kona cotton so is great for crafting projects such as patchworking and quilting.
This piece is a slight second that measures approximately 90cm at its shortest point. It is a slight second as it has been flawed during the printing process and has 'water' mark outlines (see last 4 photos). These are more noticeable from the back and are a lot more subtle from the front. The first is on one edge and runs approximately 41-51 in from one selvedge while the other is positioned more towards the centre of the piece and is around 36-46cm in from one selvedge.
